Vision Zero is a worldwide initiative that looks to bring down severe injuries and traffic deaths from collisions. For Los Angeles, Vision Zero is a policy that will help prioritize city projects for safety improvements and promote active transportation and walking for daily commute. Atelier-RE helped develop the initial research and High Injury Network that accounts for 60% severe injuries and fatalities among people walking and biking. Working alongside the Vision Zero LAB, we created a policy website that features research, outreach materials and an interactive story map explaining the data behind Vision Zero.
Ongoing work includes information architecture services for the development of Vision Zero – Los Angeles database – that will feature transportation and health related data pertinent to Vision Zero’s goals.
